• Hello everyone,

Today I did something VERY stupid.

I was working on my new website (www.noidea.nl/secondsite)
Then I did this: Settings > General > and changed the site and wordpress url from noidea.nl/second site to noidea.nl.
Now, when I go to no idea.nl/secondsite I forwarded to noidea.nl, the old site!

But I like to use the NEW site (secondsite as new!)
I hope somebody can help me!

    Regards,
    Melle

Forget it. I did restore a backup I made just before I changes the URL.
When I did restore the backup I saw the option: restore to a new location.

Is is very this way possible to restore the noidea.nl/secondsite to noidea.nl ?

    The basic steps are these:

    1) Edit from Network Admin -> Edits, and change noidea.nl/secondsite to noidea.nl/- check the box to change home AND SITE urls.

    2) Edit your wp-config.php to have define(‘BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 1); changed to noidea.nl/secondsite’s site ID.

    3) Edit from Network Admin -> Edit Sites, and change the original noidea.nl to noidea.nl/somethingelse

If you need more details, it’s in https://store.halfelf.org/ebooks/wordpress-multisite-110/ (it’s pay what you want) and that may help you more.

This DOES NOT change any existing posts on your site, so… you’ll have to search/replace those on your own.
