Accidentally deleted database, no backup, new computer

I mistakenly deleted several databases of subsites when I was doing house-cleaning on the main site. This was several months ago, and when I later checked on the subsites, I wondered why the photos did not show up, even though they were uploaded in the correct places, with correct permissions, etc.

So now all the information is on the server, but is not properly linked. I know the original database name of this particular subsite, but I don’t know how to link the existing data to a newly created MySQL database. I figure there has to be a way, since the data is all there. The posts are on the site, with correct dates, etc. and the images are on the server in the correct locations. The images show up beautifully if I type in the actual location relative to the main site, but they do now show up when I use the domain name of the subsite.
