Accordions automatically closing & Toggles forcing page reload

Hi there,

I am having two problems that I could really use some help with:
1) When I click on a Toggle to open it, it automatically closes right away.
2) When I click on an Accordion to open in, it reloads the whole page and places the content of the Accordion at the top of the screen.

When I click on an Accordion or Toggle, the URL also changes to include the title of the active Accordion/Toggle. For example, the normal page URL is “https://www.kaitlynkimchi.com”. But when I click on the Toggle called ‘About Kaitlyn Kimchi // The Kimchi Project’, the URL changes to: “https://www.kaitlynkimchi.com/#toggle-about-kaitlyn-kimchi-the-kimchi-project”. Similarly, the accordion on the page called ‘About Kaitlyn’ changes the URL to “https://www.kaitlynkimchi.com/#accordion-item-about-kaitlyn”. Etc., etc.

Both of these things only happen the first time the Accordions/Toggles are clicked on after loading the page they are in. Subsequent clicks seem to be working just fine – until I reload the page.

These problems cropped up after I updated WordPress to the latest version (4.2.1), and I can’t restore my site from a backup to an earlier version because I must have done something wrong in the backup process and my backup files are all empty. The only other changes I have made recently seem unrelated – like adding a notes plugin to my dashboard – so I don’t know why this could be happening aside from the new WP update.

Does anybody have any suggestions for how I might prevent these things from happening? They just make the site super annoying to navigate.
