Account Can’t Get Activated… Impossible to verify domains!
-
I am very close to giving up completely on MailPoet and finding another service. I just cannot get my account approved.
I don’t know why this is, but I suspect it is because I cannot verify my “Sender Domains.”
So I’ve been working on that for about 3 days. And yes, I have read the MailPoet support pages to make sure I have done it correctly. I have a fair amount of internet and website experience.
.
So here’s the details: My website, https://coyoteas.com, is hosted on Hostinger, while the domain is at Namecheap. To direct traffic to the site, I am using Namecheap’s BasicDNS with “A records” pointing to Hostinger’s IP. (It’s set up that way so I can use their email, long story.)
Anyway, the apparent result is, no one can seem to detect -any- CNAME records I add to the domain. They can detect TXT, A, and MX records… in fact as of today I now have a working DKIM via TXT record! But no CNAME records, can’t seem to read them. I tried several different “Detect your website’s settings!” websites with no luck.
Anyway, that’s my conclusion after 3 days’ troubleshooting. Does anyone have ideas?

Here’s what I’ve done to reach that conclusion:
- I have checked, double-checked, triple-checked that the values in MailPoet’s CNAME and TXT records are correct at NameCheap. Copy-pasted then visually verified that the values are correct and in the correct spots.
- Made sure the MailPoet values are not auto-doubling the domain names, as some domain hosts do.
- Checked that I do not use Cloudflare (which can interfere with MailPoet’s detection apparently).
- Confirmed that my website is not behind a firewall (as far as I can tell).
- Tried to verify through various third-party services, such as MXToolbox.com, whether it can read any CNAME values in my domain record. Confirmed that none of them can.
- Cried and jumped up and down. Had some coffee. Repeated all the prior steps.
Now I am at a loss. ??
