As mentioned in another issue the plugin should be fixed. I’ve installed the update and the scope error has disappeared, but the plugin doesn’t seem to properly handle the reply.

Clicking “Connect Account” opens Instagram to connect the account, but the account isn’t properly connected in the plugin afterwards (see screenshot below / https://ibb.co/4Sjjd19)

Using the token generator doesn’t work either as there is no token displayed after granting permissions (see screenshot below / https://ibb.co/B2QJgH2). After granting access the app is listed in the accounts access section, so a token was generated, but the token generator doesn’t seem to display it and the account name properly.

The account I’m trying to connect is a professional / creator account with the category “Youth Organisation”.

    Hi @sgart

Please visit Instagram Settings -> Apps & Websites to remove all GP Web Dev apps.

Then in your WP admin dashboard please disconnect, clear cache and then save options.

When you try to connect again, do you see this image or this one ? Or please send a screenshot of the authorization screen you get.

Another thing to check would be the URL in the token generator, after you are redirected back from Instagram. It should contain parameters about the status of the callback.

If you still face problems please let me know to debug further, thanks!

It worked now. Not sure what changed. I had also reset the cache when the issue occurred and I didn’t do anything different. I even logged out of the WP site and Instagram without success.

I assume this was some weird kind of caching issue with either the WP site or Instagram.

Yes, some sort of persistent caching in one of the many points of this communication chain.

Glad it’s all working now, thank you!

Fix also worked for me; Thanks George.

    Happy Holidays!
