I’m hoping this is a setting I’m overlooking. I’ve not changed anything though but this just started after the last update.

I use a specific page for the account dashboard. Since users are logged in, they can see the content. I had it set to display the custom message to non logged in visitors, which I have across all of the members only pages. They all worked perfectly.

But now the dashboard page, the one with the um account shortcode, does not display the custom message. If someone is not logged in and tries to access the account page it redirects them to the log in page. I don’t want that to happen. I want the custom message that’s been there since I set it up.

Not sure what you guys did in the last update but the account page redirects to log in and I need it to not do that. How do I make that stop, and instead resume showing the custom message. All other pages show the message. It’s just the acct page that redirects.

Again, I didn’t make any changes. This started after I updated it.

    Thanks

  • I am having a similar issue with the account page – whether logged in or logged out, the account page redirects to the log in page. Hoping Ultimate Member can advise.

    Hi @windflowermail @audreyprice

Could you please provide a screenshot of the whole UM Access settings?
Please go to WP Admin > Ultimate Member > Settings > Access.

You can upload the image via imgur.com and then post the Image URL here.

For mine, the access settings are

    site is accessible to all
nothing in the custom message box

and below the field, posts and pages are checked while media and the custom options are not checked.

The custom message I’m referring to is regarding the option on the page itself for um content restrictions…to show restricted message and to show global custom message.

It’s just for non logged in users trying to access the account dashboard page that redirects them to the log in page instead of the custom message. All the other restricted pages do show the custom message.

As a temporary workaround I added some of the custom message to the login page itself so if this can’t get sorted out then I’ll go about it this way.

    Hi @audreyprice

    Sorry for the late response.

Could you please tell us if you’ve excluded the Account URL from this setting? Please see the screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12Qx5-DzYntHDq6TrL8YQGZ-ELQWio05m/view?usp=sharing

    Hi

No because those fields are not available.

Global Site Access Site accessible to everyone

Restricted Access Message blank had it set on the actual page for the UM settings

Allow Gutenberg Blocks restriction options: not checked

Restrict Access to Posts Post checked Page checked Media not checked

Restricted Access to Taxonomies: none checked`

    That’s all there is.
