ACF Allow Null not working on existing fields

  • I have many select fields. I didn’t toggle on Allow Null when I created them and added the choices. I realize now, after the fact, that I need Allow Null on so when a user is editing a post they can de-select what’s selected and have None as an option. But if I toggle on “Allow Null”, -Select- doesn’t appear as an option. If I create a new field, and toggle it on, it shows up no problem. It’s just on existing select fields it doesn’t work. Any ideas?

    Hmm this is weird. Please note that if you use the ACF Select field with “Stylized UI” setting and “Allow Null”, there won’t be a default “Select” option in the field.

    The “Allow Null” will be represented as small “X” icon on the right side of the select, which clear the value once clicked on.

    Note that the ACF Select / Stylized UI / Allow Null are all native ACF features, so if you need further assistance, you can try to contact their support.
