Like the other most recent support topic, I’m also having issues when both ACF Pro and PublishPress are active on my site.

I have 3 custom fields on my Post post type. When I update a post or publish a new one, I have to click “Update” or “Publish” twice. The first click greys out the button for a short time, but the page doesn’t refresh and my changes won’t save. I have to click a second time for the save to process and the page to refresh. Disabling ACF or PublishPress resolves the issue.

Thanks for using PublishPress Revisions.

The Free version does not have support for ACF Pro. The Pro version of Revisions is compatible with ACF Pro.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for getting back to me!

I don’t need PublishPress Revisions to save any ACF fields for me. I just need it to not cause the saving/updating issues outline above on my site for posts that have ACF fields enabled on them.

Are you saying that PublishPress Revisions will continue to cause this issue on my site due to incompatibiliy unless I pay for the Pro version, even though I don’t need any features in the Pro version?

@aamartines I can ask our team to investigate possible issues between the Free version and ACF.

Also, if you find any specific error messages in the site’s error log, or browser console, please let us know.

It looks like this only happens with the Classic Editor plugin enabled.

Here’s what I’m seeing in the console. My hosts error logs aren’t picking up anything in particular.

Thanks, Steve! Glad to hear there’s a resolution on the way. No huge rush on my end – we’ve just disabled PublishPress for now.
