Just to be certain, does your user have some earned achievements to its name?

Also, when editing your achievement types, do you have “Display earned achievements of this type in the user profile “Achievements” section.” checked for each one you want available?

Otherwise, I’m not sure offhand what may be going on that’s preventing it, because it should show something for a tab, right after the “settings” tab. Make sure it didn’t just break to a new line as well.

    Hi and thank you,

Yes I have Display earned achievements of this type in the user profile “Achievements” section.” checked for each one and there are users with earned achievements.

I don’t know what happens and I really want to use this plugin.

Well I have a great finding that I am sure that it will help you.

Deactivating “Extended Profiles” from Buddypress (Dashboard – Settings – Buddypress) makes the Achievements tab disappear.

Activating it makes the Achievements tab to appear again.

In this case, I guess it should work independently from “Extended Profiles”.

I am sure you can replicate the issue.

I was able to replicate, but at the same time I have to believe that it was done this way out of necessity, as that’s the only way we’d be able to get the tab added. However, I can’t be 100% sure on that part as I was not a part of the original development. All of my BuddyPress experience leads me to believe it’s accurate though.

Anyway, it is great to know this as I am sure it will be time-saving for many members who search for the Achievements Tab ??

Sometimes, even I learn new stuff as well.

Thanks Cartographer. I spent hours trying to figure out why my Achievements tab wasn’t showing up on the member profiles and activating extended profiles was the fix.

I’m having problems with this now.
I saw the Achievements tab, while setting up the page.
But now as I got everything up and running, the Achievements tab is gone.

I’ve tried activating and deactivating extended profiles, with no luck.

I can also confirme that a user has an achievement.
That I have checked BadgeOS > Achievements Types area, and checked the two checkboxes that appear under the main settings.

elmindo are you using bbPress for the forums I see as a tab, or are you using BuddyPress’ old forum stuff for that?

I’m a little curious if we have conflicting position numbers for that aspect and the menu setup.

I’ve got both bbPress and BuddyPress running on the site….

From what I can tell, it should be loading the tab regardless of the displayed user having earned achievements.

The only things that could be roadblocks, from reviewing the plugin’s code, is the xprofile component not being active or the user not being logged in. Any other time, the tab itself should be showing. The only way I could see it not, is if that position value matching up with something else and our tab is being overridden.

Is it possible that you could temporarily disable other BuddyPress or bbPress related plugins and see if it suddenly shows up?

    Hi,

I have a problem, I can only see the badge on the sidebar and not under the achivements tab. Look here:
    https://www.writerscarnival.ca/badge.jpg

Any ideas as to why it’s happening. Also when I am logged in as admin
for wordpress I see the badge but when I log in as the user I see what
I put up as the screenshot.

    Thanks.

It looks like you have the achievements set to display in the profiles, which is good. However, it appears that things may be going based on the current user, instead of the displayed user, which is odd.

Whose profile is the displayed one in the picture, when you log in? The admin, or the general user?

    Hi Michael,
The screenshot is from the users account point of view. When I log in as admin I see everything just fine. But when I log in as the user I don’t see the achivements only in the sidebar widget.

    Thank you.

For some reason, the achievements tab isn’t managing to find any achievements to display. “No completed to display at this time” is supposed to have some sort of achievement type after the “No”, so it was unable to find something, and the php placeholder was left empty.

Definitely looks like there SHOULD be something to display, as the sidebar indicates that the user is looking at their own profile and they have the “Green 2014 Star” achievement available.

I’m curious what can be done for this achievements tab because it’s been a bit flaky for awhile now and never seems to work consistently.

That said, I’m not sure what’s going on for your case and I’m not able to dig in very far from where I’m at now.
