Ack! Print technology timed-out

    Hi,

    I’m getting a 402 error that returns the message:

    “Ack! Print technology timed-out while trying to connect to this page.
    Try again. Reload the page.
    This page requires the PrintFriendly & PDF Browser Extension.”

    How can I remove this error so my users aren’t asked to install a browser extension?

    You are using Cloudflare and Cloudflare is blocking PrintFriendly. You can give access to PrintFriendly by creating a new configuration rule. (Rules -> Configuration Rules) in Cloudflare

    In Field, select “User Agent”
    In Operator, select “conatins”
    In value, input “printfriendly.com”

    Then Add, Browser Integrity Check, Hotlink Protection and set Security Level to “Essentially Off”. Then deploy the rule.

    Hello,

    The Cloudflare fix you described above fixed the URL in question. It worked, thank you! I tried applying this fix to another site on the same server and same Cloudflare account, cleared all caches and I’m still getting the Ack! error notice.

    How can I safely send you the URL for the other site?
