This evening, I tried to activate the woocommerce plugin. Every time I activate it this happens and I get this message:

WordPress Database error: [Table ‘jthairst_wrdp5.wp_actionscheduler_actions’ doesn’t exist]

And there’s 7 of these errors and a Fatal Error at the bottom.

Does anybody know what this is? My site has the latest php too. I just know I have a client that wants her online store up and running asap and I cannot for the life of me figure this out.

I SHOULD add that I’m new to this and primarily just know how to design and create. I don’t know much about maintenance and the technical side of all this yet.

    Thank you!!!

    Jay T.

    Hi there Jay,

It looks like the required wp_actionscheduler_actions table was not created successfully.

Please try going to WooCommerce > Status > Tools, and run the tool to “Verify base database tables”.

If you are still having trouble, you could try installing the stand-alone Action Scheduler plugin to see if it is able to create the tables: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/action-scheduler/

If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please make sure your database user has permissions to create database tables — your hosting company can help you check that.

    I hope that helps!

    Thank you @kellymetal

I turned it over to the hosting i’m with (HostGator). They worked in things for a few hours. Everything is update. Everything is refreshed etc. They are 100% convinced that there’s something wrong with the WooCommerce plugin.

I don’t know what to do. Sigh.

Do you know of any online store plugins that are good?

Sorry for interrupting but I’m having the same proble with that table I’have tried everything and my hosting also says It’s all fine on their side.. I think I also could benefit from the answer given here.

    thanks.

    Hey @inuitplace

In some cases, re-installing WooCommerce may help as well.

First, make a backup of your site. This is very important, to ensure that you can go back to how things are, if something goes wrong.

Next, log into your site using FTP and delete the entire /woocommerce directory (under /wp-content/plugins/).

Then reinstall WooCommerce by going into WP admin → Plugins and reinstall it. This will recreate the databases needed.

Again, make sure that you have a backup before you do all this!

In my case I’have done this, many times, the thing is always that this table wp_actionscheduler_actions won’t be created, if anyone could instruct how to precreate this table manually so we can run the activation..

Because It’s a fresh installation, not an update, the tables aren’t on our databases. And Woocommerce can create tables since it creates all the others but the ones from actionscheduler won’t be created at all.

And same problem with the standaloe Action Scheduler plugin, it gives the same error when trying to activate it.

Also I’made a post yesterday with the error log i get everytime wich can be found here:
