• Hello,

We are a non-profit animal advocacy organization. We are looking to add a pre-written email directed to a third party that visitors to our site can opt to send (and modify as they wish) from our site.

Is there a plug-in that would offer this functionality? We have been looking at “action email” plug-ins but they seem to offer a different functionality such as sending “contact us” emails.

We have been searching plug-ins but have not found one offering the functionality we have described yet.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

  • I think you can actually use any form plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/forms/

However, I don’t know how you imagine this adaptation of the e-mail template. Is it about replacing some placeholders in this one? Like name or date? Then you could have this information entered in such a form and then enter it in the text when sending the e-mail.

If you want to show the user a preview of the e-mail to be generated, then this is certainly not feasible with any plugin and rather requires individual development. If you need help with this, you can find it here: https://jobs.wordpress.net

An important note about your wish: you make it possible for an e-mail to go from your website to a completely different recipient. This can and will be used as a spam gateway. Protection against automatic spam is therefore essential.

    Hey @reneam

You can achieve this with WP Forms and Uncanny Automator.

The WP Forms can have pre-filled content inside the main body. If there are several 3rd party emails to choose from, these can be added to a dropdown field. WP Forms comes with anti-spam protection.

After a form is created, set up a new recipe with Uncanny Automator plugin. Add “A user submits a form” trigger and “Send Email” action. Then, add tokens from the form fields to dynamically fill in the content.

Thank you for these suggestions. I will look into them. Appreciate it very much!

I had a question about using forms to allow people to send emails to a third party. It’s important that the visitor who is choosing to send the email be able to see and modify the content. But the impression I have is that this isn’t possible with the forms option? Do I have that right?
