    Hello!

I would like to use an action hook that is triggered when an event is detected (and logged) by Wordfence.

Technically, the time period of the logfile entry would be perfect, i.e. when I see an event in the live traffic, for example.

Is such an interface available? If not, at which point could I intervene myself?

    Thanks & greetings

Hi @wp-henne, thanks for your message.

At the moment, we only provide documentation for hooking into importSettings() and whitelistIP(): https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/wordfence-api/

Other developers have no doubt written custom solutions to operations they’d like to hook into and may have documented or blogged about them. However, we’re unable to provide any support for custom code because our own future plugin updates may cause some to break and we don’t have the resources to follow-up on potential fixes. You may be able to achieve what you’re trying to do without directly using Wordfence functions and going straight to the database, or looking at other changes in your server’s log files.

If you wish to highlight your precise use-case and data requirements, I can at least compile a feature request as we do discuss all submissions internally. If we have the detailed information, we may be able to offer some general advice on a direction to take.

    Thanks,
    Peter.
