    Hi,

Since a woocommerce update in date of December 7th, I’ve got this message as a notification on wordpress dashboard:

Action Scheduler: 1 past-due action found; something may be wrong. Read documentation ?

When I’ve a look at “woocommerce” > “status” > tab “scheduled actions”, I’ve got 2 failed actions:

    Hook:
    woocommerce_run_on_woocommerce_admin_updated

    Status:
    Failed

    Arguments:
    0 => ‘Automattic\\WooCommerce\\Admin\\RemoteInboxNotifications\\RemoteInboxNotificationsEngine’
    1 => ‘run_on_woocommerce_admin_updated’

    Group:
    woocommerce-remote-inbox-engine

    Recurrence:
    Non-repeating

    Scheduled Date:
    2022-12-07 23:29:15 +0000
    (2 weeks 1 day ago)

    Log:

    2022-12-07 23:29:15 +0000
        action created
        2022-12-07 23:30:06 +0000
        action started via WP Cron
        2022-12-07 23:30:06 +0000
action failed via WP Cron: Scheduled action for woocommerce_run_on_woocommerce_admin_updated will not be executed as no callbacks are registered.

    And same for December 15th.
It appears with 7.1 update , if I remember well.

Please, could someone explain to me what is the meaning of this action which “will not be executed as no callbacks are registered.” ?

    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Best regards

  • Howdy @joy0114

From what I gather, the store is notifying of a failed Cron.

I suggest updating WooCommerce to its latest version, 7.2.2 as of writing these lines. After updating the core plugin, kindly make sure the database is updated also, under WooCommerce > Status > Tools. Otherwise, there is a button on that screen, to update it.

See if the issue persists. If yes, feel free to go ahead with installing the WP Crontrol plugin. Within the plugin’s screens, some further context, and actions to take, will be available.

Let us know how that goes.

Should the issue persist, still, to help you further, I’d like to understand more about your setup.

Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Once you’ve done that, you can paste the text in https://gist.github.com/ and feel free to change/remove your site URL in the report for privacy reasons.

Once you do that, you can paste the Gist link here in your reply.

    Hi Pepe,

Thank you for your answer, I will do that, and come back if there is still an issue.
Happy holidays if you can have a break !

    Best regards

    Hi @joy0114

    Happy Holidays! ??

You are very much welcome and hopefully, updating the plugin fixes the issue! ??

Otherwise, kindly provide the System Status Report as requested by Pepe above.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

I encountered the same problem, I upgrade first, and then observe

    Hi,

    Indeed, That’s not really resolved…
I still have this issue every woocommerce update: now, with 7.2.3, it is still here, and displayed sometimes.
I would have loved to understand what this action is for.

    Hello @joy0114,

Sure, can you please attach your system status report so we can try replication the problem?

Look forward to hearing back from you.

    Hey @josezhf,

I understand you have the same problem but we need to handle each request individually in forums.

Please open your own thread and make sure to include as much information as you can.

    Thank you!
