Activate Scroll Earlier

Hi YITH Support, I hope you are doing well.

I was wondering if it is possible to make the infinite scroll trigger earlier than it currently does? Currently the infinite scroll only activates when a user reaches the bottom of the page. I would like to change this so that when the user is 300 pixels from the bottom of the page, the infinite scroll activates. Any idea if this is possible?

I saw a forum that answers this question linked here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/how-to-make-infinite-scroll-load-earlier/ , however since this thread is 6+ years old I was wondering if there was a better solution now, maybe involving hooks and filters instead?
