Activated plugin & all my pages went to 404

I activated the plugin, then several minutes later discovered that ALL the pages on my website were going to “Page Not Found 404” error. The only page that displayed correctly was the home page and the backend was accessible. After trying a few different things and googling the problem for more things, I remembered that I had activated the Dynamic XML Sitemaps Generator for Google plugin. So I deactivated it and all my pages are working again. A-friggin-men! Some kind of conflict somewhere, but I am not ready to re-activate the plugin.
Are there known conflicts and certain requirements for the plugin to work?
