    Hi,
Yesterday morning I activated Yoast SEO and I checked my google analytics page today and from when I activated it, it shows no visits. My site gets a fair amount of traffic so I know there has to at least be a few hundred hits a day.

Analytics was working and receiving data when the site was Joomla. I changed to wordpress a few days back and installed Yoast – connected to my google console.

    Any ideas?

  • Check to make sure the analytics code is actually in your page source; it’s only way GA can do stats.

Hi neotrope. When I view the source on my homepage I do not see anything that mentions it.

I verified the site and the plugin is active.

Be sure to double check you pasted in the tracking codes for your GA account properly in your Yoast SEO plugin settings.

If you don’t see the GA tracking code in your source, then it’s not actually there. Might be how you put the info into the plugin, or might be conflicting plugin.

Also check your post with F12/console in Chrome for any javascript errors that might break the javascript placement on page for GA.

Just food for thought … I don’t work here ??

Yoast SEO does not include Google Analytics features. Those features were included in a separate plugin which was recently transferred to MonsterInsights.

Thanks amboutwe. I just installed MonsterInsights, hopefully my analytics will start to show tomorrow.

    Thanks!
