That is strange. Please answer a few questions:

    1. Do you use a custom template?
    2. Are you blocking cookies in your browser?
    3. Does this only happens when you go home and not elsewhere?

If you wish can put here your website url so we’ll be able to check better.

    Thanks for the feedback!

    1. I’m using the Twenty Twelve theme and then have customized it to my design needs.
    2. No I am not blocking cookies
    3. It only happens when I return home. I have tried other age verification plugins and they randomly block a single page of not my settings. This is the first one that only seems to block the homepage time and again.
    4. The website url is: onegrouphosting.com/chilis

Thank you so much for your help!

It seems to work properly. But the plugin is only active in your homepage. You should enable “Show on all page and posts” option. This way the age verification will show on all website.

Are you still experiencing the same problem?

It seems to be working now… I think I might have fixed it. I am going to wait a few hours until I respond, yes it is working. Usually it takes a while for the problem to appear after I fix it.

Uninstalled/reinstalled plugin. I created a new page and applied the homepage template. The weird thing is, I don’t even have to apply this as the homepage… just making a page and applying the theme seems to work. This was also happening with the other age verification gins I was trying to use.

And lastly, this time I deactivated a plugin called WP Super Cache. I don’t think this would create an issue, but I did just to try it.

Will post update later on if it is fixed or not. Thanks!

Highly probably due to WP Super Cache. Please read this article:

That was it! Thank you so much for your help, and that is a great article. I didn’t think about it, because I wasn’t the developer who installed that particular plugin…

I didn’t end up using the plugin, but the issue was solved. And this plugin works beautifully. The only reason I’m not using it is the client preferred a checkbox vs. having to enter the date.

Thank you again for your assistance!
