Activates Jetpack Protect & blocks me out of site

I really like this plugin, but there is a sizable flaw. If it wasn’t for this one issue I would be rating this as a five star plugin.

While editing/customizing the login page, it seems as though the real login page is refreshed with every single character or setting change. This in turn causes Jetpack Protect to block me out of my site for a time. I haven’t actually clocked it yet but I am guessing it to be about 15 or 30 minutes.

Having to disable protection in order to customize my login page seems to me to be an unnecessary step. Surely there is a way to load a temporary login page without tripping protection for the site.
