• I purchased AAM Plus Package, and got my confirmation email, but never received a license key necessary to unlock/install it.

I sent an email to the AAM team via their contact page, but have yet to receive a response of any kind.

Am I missing something obvious? Because right now this looks pretty sketchy. If my 30$ isn’t going to actually get me anything, I think I might like it back.

  • It sends to the paypal email address from what I have seen. Be sure to check spam too. Or all mail.

This is who sent me mine:
WP AAM [email protected] via gator3008.hostgator.com

Here is the email you can try searching for some of the words too:

    Your payment processed successfully!
You have been purchased AAM Plugin Manager extension for AAM 2.x. Your license key:

In case of any issues, please contact us via email [email protected] or check the official forum.

I also purchased the AAM Plus Package, and received my paypal confirmation email. There was a receipt number on it, I tried using that as the key. It did not work. I have emailed [email protected], and the email address listed on my receipt ‘[email protected]’. After sending 7 emails over the course of 2 weeks and not receiving a response, I’m starting to think I was ripped off. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

    Rhonda,

I too am in the same situation you are in i purchased 7 days ago, the plus package, and still have had no correspondence in regards to activation.

Please keep me informed of you how to get on, and i will do the same.

    All the best

Hi Andy, I have had no responses. I found this information below – which states as the end that AAM can send an extension file for a manual installation. I sent them a copy of my receipt as proof of payment, and I still have not received a response from [email protected] or [email protected].

Keep in touch if you hear anything.

    Thank you,
    Rhonda

FAILED to Install Extensions. What should I do?
    Postby wpaam ? Wed Jan 15, 2014 10:16 am

There are few reasons why you failed to Install Extension. All of them are listed below with proper approach to fix it.

REASON #1. Your license key is incorrect.
SOLUTION : Make sure that you copied the license key from the email that was sent to you right after the purchase.

REASON #2. Your website does not allow to perform Remote Request. AAM uses wp_remote_request function to obtain the copy of requested Extension.
SOLUTION : If your website is running through secured proxy or firewall, deactivate it during Extension installation. Sometimes the reason can be that your website does not support cURL. In this case, contact your hosting provider and ask them to activate it for you.

REASON #3. Your wp-content/plugins/advanced-access-manager/extension folder is not writable by PHP.
SOLUTION : Make sure that PHP has enough permissions to write files inside mentioned above folder.

REASON #4. Your wp-content/aam folder does not exist or is not writable by PHP.
SOLUTION : Make sure that mentioned folder exists and PHP has enough permissions to write files inside above folder.

REASON #5. Your website does not have ZipArchive PHP Library (in this case you are not able even update WordPress or install any plugins).
SOLUTION : Ask your hosting provider to install the library.

In 99% if you are not missing anything, it should work. Otherwise, we can send the Extension for manual installation (Please notice! you will have to request the Extension each time you updated the AAM).

Unfortunately those instructions don’t apply to my situation.

I have emailed the [email protected] & [email protected]

    I have also:
    …Sent Vasyl a tweet
    …DM him on twitter
    …Messaged him on FB
    …Messaged him on Linked In
…Emailed him via his website info (vasyltech.com) – [email protected]
Finally he has a phone number on his website too of: 727-272-1853 and an address of NoDa, Charlotte NC..if anyone else wants try and get hold of him please try.

Those instructions didn’t work for me either, as I never got a license key.

I’ve given up hope that Vasyl/AAM Support will respond, and tried several other plug-ins. I installed the Restrict User Access plugin, which is working well for me. I have a login which provides restricted access to particular pages and posts. I still had to use AAM to create the roles I needed, unfortunately.

I received my key but it will not activate. Key getting the following error:

Failed to write file to wp-content/aam folder

I have emailed support 3 times with no response.
