    Hi there,

I’m running GiveWP in a multi-site environment and just recently tried activating this plugin at sub-site level, but it triggered a fatal error. The error seems to point to some Paypal payment gateway issue.

Also running on PHP 8.0 and latest version of WordPress if this helps.

Appreciate any form of help to get this fixed. Many thanks!

  • Hi @johnteh,
Glad you reached out. I’ll need a little more information to get started here. First, send along your system information. You can do this by navigating to Donations > Tools > System Info (tab) and click the button to “Get System Report” and copy/paste that in your reply here.

Next, send along some steps to replicate this error. I can follow your steps to see if I can replicate the same error in a sandbox environment, which will help us get to the bottom of why that error code was thrown.

Let me know if you have questions in the meantime, I’m happy to help.

    Hi @stephanieliy ,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I’m unable to access the System Info tab as the fatal error is preventing me from activating the plugin.

As for replicating the this error, nothing fancy really.
    – It’s on a multi-site.
    – Installed GiveWP on admin level and tried activating it at sub-site level (when it triggers the fatal error).
    – PHP version 8.0, WordPress version 6.1.1
    – I have WooCommerce, WooCommerce Payments and WooCommerce Paypal Payments plugins installed.

Would it be helpful if i list out the full list of plugins that i’m currently using?

    Thanks,

    John

Please ignore the above, i’ve started a brand new sub-site and the plugin activated just fine.

I’m glad to hear a new sub-site got things squared away for you! If you have any trouble moving forward, don’t hesitate to drop us a new ticket. We are always happy to help. Have a great day!
