Activation emails use HTTPS

  • Hi, could WordPress HTTPS be the reason why the user activation emails sent from my site use HTTPS on the activation link?

    To activate your user, please click the following link:

    https://[mysite].com/?page=gf_activation&key=[some random numbers here]

    After you activate, you will receive *another email* with your login.

    I already disabled the plugin but I feel that some “settings” persist.
