    Please check if your hosting has disabled short tags.

    I’m not familiar with short tags. Can you give me a quick explanation so I understand what I’m asking for?

    <?php can be written as <?
    but in server there will be a setting called short tags, if they are enabled <? also will work

    You can try replacing <? to <?php

    The server does support PHP Short Tags and I still can’t activate. I’ll do some more testing with no other plugins activated and the default theme.

    There were some deprecated commands, that are removed please a fresh version of this now

    Replacing <? with <?php worked for me.Many thanks
