  • Hi d4b!
Have you entered something in ? You have to enter at least one group to role assignment to “Role Equivalent Groups” on the “Authorization” tab (e.g. “WordPressUsers=subscriber”, where the first is the group in AD and the second is the WordPress role).

But nevertheless I’ll look into it.

Sorry d4b, I was wrong. You don’t need to enter “Role Equivalent Groups”. If it is left empty, the new users will get the role “subscriber” by default.

In the final WP3 everything works fine for me. Do you have some more Informations?

I have the identical problem on a new 3.0 site. On the new site, I got the same error with Active Directory Authentication plugin; however, the Active Directory Authentication plugin worked on a site I had upgrade to 3.0. The issue seems to be only with creating a new user.

Hmmmm…. don’t know what’s going wrong. For me it works. Did you make a new, clean installation of WP 3.0 or was it an update from 2.x?

You can zip and send me an email with your installation with the database?

    (@d4b)

In my opinion, in AD as authentication goes ok it should not longer be a problem setting up an account in WP

I tested a little bit different versions to version 2.9.2 and all it well, but after the upgrade to version 3.0 once again not be added.

Damn. Can not reproduce the error. I’ll dig into it and do some more tests.

If you want to enter an email and sends you a whole folder and dump the database ready for export.
Let me add that I have a very large network (the whole country) – 52 domain controllers.
But Authorization runs ok only a problem when you add a user, and then only in version 3.0

Made a clean install of WP 3.0 in a new folder and created a new database and tried everything. No error.

Would someone with the problem send me his settings (without any security relevant informations)?

    Ok, here’s my email: christoph.steindorff_AT_ecw.de

complete Folders, db dumps: everything is welcome to solve the problem.

Ok, there we have the error:
[ERROR] This email address is already registered.

I’ll add a switch to the options, so you can choose from the following:
    1. insert users with duplicate email addresses,
    2. insert the new user with a partial random email address like [email protected]
    3. Don’t allow registration of user with email addresses already in the database.

Use development version. It includes a work-a-round.

Version 0.9.9.9 released which fixes the problem.
