There is a 100-pixel banner which is WHITE all the way across at the top of my Woocommerce Orders page. It is also present when looking at an individual order when logged in as an administrator.

There are 2 buttons at the right of this banner which say “Activity” and Finish setup”. when i click on either button, it slides out and reveals a white panel that covers about one third of the screen, although there’s nothing in there (empty).

Its been there for years at this point and i’d finally like to find a way to get rid of it. I don’t believe its always been there, as I’ve been running woocommerce for 10 years. it just takes up space especially on smaller screens

Present using all browsers Chrome Safari Firefox. cleared browser cache, cleared server cache, WordPress cache, etc.

I believe something got stuck, but I don’t know what it is or where to find it. Any ideas?

What you are experiencing is expected behavior:

This is a feature in WooCommerce that allows you to easily access any activity or setup that needs completion. ??

To remove the “Finish setup” button from being displayed, you can check what tasks still need to be completed. If you do not see any tasks being listed, can you do the following:
- Navigate to WooCommerce> Settings and click the “Help” dropdown:
- Select “Setup wizard” and Enable the “Task list” option:
Once this is enabled, you should see the list of tasks that are required to “Finish setup”, otherwise, if the setup is complete, the “Finish setup” option will disappear.

your instructions were able to clear one of the buttons, but ACTIVITY is still persistent.

i’ll post photos of where i’m at:
1. the activity lists that there are still 2 more things to do. something about shipping and something about marketing.
2. when i click on shipping, there’s nothing i can do to clear it out. i don’t know how to resolve this. there’s nothing wrong with my shipping options, they are functioning as expected.
3. when i click on marketing, it has to do with Pinterest, and i’ve engaged the Pinterest plugin to try to sign up, but the plugin gets stuck during installation. at this point, its more important to resolve this banner issue than to resolve the Pinterest issue. so i’m willing to give up on Pinterest to resovle this.
4. Setup Wizard is configured properly, i think. see photo

WooCommerce doesn’t have an option to remove the Activity panel, but you can hide it with CSS. :?)
- Install this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/custom-css-js/
