We love your Activity Log feature. Unfortunately, it is not labeling correctly certain “Visitor Types.”

For example, we’ve been receiving a lot of visits from PetalBot (a bad bot, search engine crawler) which slows down our website and consumes server resources.

Your Activity Log is labeling PetalBot as “Human.” Should be “Non-Human” or simply “petalbot” — similar to showing “googlebot” under “Visitor Type” when it crawls our website.

Click here for a quick look at what we’re seeing.

To relieve your server(s), we blocked PetalBot with Cloudflare using ASN AS136907 and within our htaccess file using the proper USER AGENT code.

PS: Adding an Automatic Bad Bot Blocking feature to your plugin would be awesome. Perhaps it’s already on your roadmap.

    Thank you!

    Hey @jetxpert

We are aware of the Activity Log issues and we are currently working on several fixes.

We will release a new version this or next week, which will fix most of the issues.

We will add the PetalBot to the existing Bot list, which the plugin uses.

    Regards,
    Stanimir
