I have the same request. Did you find any solution? I’m using wOffice as well. If it is not possible I think I will need to stick to Buddypress Docs.

With Buddypress Docs, is it possible to have a “front” view like with file-away?

Well I personally love more the front view of fileAway, but as my client wants to have an activity stream and – and this is important – file search indexing I will stick to buddypress docs. fileAway, does not support file indexing. So if a user searches for file with the normal wp search it will not be shown.

I have various users which are on a group and they can manage their files on the group page. the activity stream is showing up on the group activity.

I found this plugin which is working well with wOffice:

With budypress Docs – using groups – and this mentioned plugin – each user which is assigned to the group is notified if somebody uploads ah file to the group page, or edits it or whatever….

Sweet. I think the look & feel of budypress docs you can change with some nice CSS styling…
