    Hi,

The plugin is working perfectly and the popups are all working with the correct conditions, however, I recently noticed that the popup I have set randomly shows up in my site footer, not as a popup – just simply there – It shows up even if based on the cookies it shouldn’t have shown up.

I’d appreciate if you’d be able to assist me with this.

    Thank you

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @jewishtidbits:

When you say: “I recently noticed that the popup I have set randomly shows up in my site footer, not as a popup – just simply there …..”, do you mean:

    1) the actual popup displays on the front-end of your site in the footer, or

    2) the HTML (markup) for your popup displays in the page footer?

If it’s the latter (#2), that’s what’s supposed to happen. For every page on which Popup Maker is activated, the plugin loads the HTML for that popup in the footer when the page loads in the browser. The popup does not display in the browser until it’s triggered to do so (e.g. for example, Auto Open (set up on your site), or Click Open).

If you want to control which pages the popup is activated to preload on, you control that through the Popup Admin via the Conditions pane (located to the right of the content editor).

If you do not set Conditions for your popup, then it will activate on every page of your site. To prevent that, set a Condition as ‘Page: Selected’ >> {name-of-page}. You can activate more than one page in a single entry. Just separate the names of the pages using a comma.

You can learn more about Conditions from this article in our documentation.

Hi, I meant the actual popup is showing up randomly embedded in the footer, not even as a popup, and I have conditions set, it ignores them too.
