    Sure you can,

You’ll need to enable Widget Wrangler per post by visiting Widget Wrangler >> Settings
and in the Post Types textarea, make sure you have post included.
(to use widget wrangler for post and pages the value in the textarea should look like this: page, post )

Now you’ll have Widget Wrangler on your posts. You just need to make some WW widgets for each Advertisement, then place those widgets in the sidebars of a specific post.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any further questions.

Great help daggerhart. Thanks! I’ve made a lot of headway but there are a couple of odd issues I’ve run into:

    1. When I assign sidebar widgets to posts under a particular category, the sidebar widget content of one of the posts (apparently random) also appears on the post’s category page. See here:
    https://www.smtmagazine.co.uk/category/focus/

    2. Though no widget has been assigned to the homepage, space has appeared at the top of the site’s homepage sidebar. See here:

Is there something I’m doing wrong?

UPDATE: Thanks for the support, but I’ve decided to go for a bespoke solution as the process of using Widget Wrangler to assign up to 4 adverts per post is a little too convoluted. Thanks all the same.
