  • ok, reinstalled and confirmed the bug is cleared now. the problem is I cannot manually reinstall this in dozens of websites. So, anyway, I have to wait for you to release a next version.
And I bet I’m not the only one ??
Except if you can recommend a plugin to allow reinstall plugins from scratch.

Hey! I just found this and did the trick. Install, activate, and whenever you have to reinstall a plugin, just select it from the plugin list and “update” it to force reinstall. Nice.

Thanks for the tip. I test it.

Hello guys. Guess what? The ad is back!
I reinstalled the plugin again and the ad have gone.
Based in past experience, I can expect the ad to come back tomorrow. Is that part of a scheduled task? what boolean in the world is neglecting to be set?

For now, enjoy the holidays. We will be sit here by the 26th ??

@marcelo Did you log in as a different user? That would be the only way I could think of why you would be redirected to the About page again.

UPDATE: The ad on the plugin page has been removed (inc/class-admin.php). Feel free to download the file and override it in your installation, or wait for 3.1.2.

As a side-note: Silly me had been under the impression we were talking about a redirection to the plugin’s About page. I know now we weren’t. There is some internal discussion going on about the implementation of that nag now, and personally I am very confident we won’t see anything like that again.
For us as a company there is a sort of “natural” desire to upsell, while as plugin authors we should trust our users to be mature enough to judge for themselves whether they’d like to make use of the features and services coming with a Pro version.

Apologies to everyone who felt annoyed, and happy holidays.

Well, I understand perfectly the desire to help to sell your product but the use in WP is to put the message in the plugin option page, not on a regular WP page.
Have a nice Christmas with happy friends and family.

Hello there. It seems to be solved in my sites today. I didnt reinstall the 3.1.1 again and by now I can tell it’s ok. So, I’ll let you know if this happens again.
