Ad insert in AMP pages

    Hello,

    I really like Ad Inserter. Ad Inserter is a great plugin.

    Yesterday, I implemented ad insertion to AMP pages by using Ad Inserter. The site is using Automattic’s plugin to enable AMP.

    When I added AdSense AMP ad code with [ADINSERTER AMP] separator to existing standard page ad insertion setting, it did not work (no ad insertion in AMP pages).

    After trying several settings and configurations, I figured to make it work.

    It looks like ad code with [ADINSERTER AMP] separator won’t work with device setting (“Client-side detection to insert on Phone” setting). Without specifying device such as phone, it works.

    As you may know, from WordPress Gutenberg (5.0), Automattic plugin supports AMP as canonical. The Automatic AMP plugin has already implemented some of those features.

    It means that AMP page will also be available (supported) on Desktop. AMP for WP also started providing a feature of AMP on Desktop. It would be great if Ad Inserter supports AMP ad insertion with Device selection.
