Ad or Security issue: wpmudev in widget area

    My question is if below is a SPAM, ad, or a Security Issue ?

    On the widget page I see :

    “Run a site health check
    Free performance security & sea check”

    it has text box with my domain and goes to https://premium.wpmudev.org/wp-checkup/?external-url=1&the-url=https%3A%2F%2Freflectandrespond.com&utm_source=custom_sidebar_ad&utm_campaign=custom_sidebar_plugin&utm_medium=Custom+Sidebars+Plugin

  • I wonder what a ‘sea check’ is??? Probably should be SEO Check or something.

    That appears to be something from WPMUDev so I’m thinking it’s an ad from them, probably a part of a widget app or something they provided…

    Why don’t you ask WPMUDev about that? Or disable temporarily any plugins you might have used from them?

    I will say WPMUDev itself is a very helpful business organization so I doubt it is a problem. They were very instrumental in a lot of my early endeavors with WordPress.
