    Hi,
We have the attached a link to instructions from a plugin developer to install a cron job in cpanel, but our host does not have cpanel.
Host says to use this plugin instead.
Neither the host or plugin developer will help us to format these instructions for using WP Crontrol.
Can you help us to format this so we can set this up with your plugin? Please keep it as simple as you can.
    Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

That’s not a very user-friendly way to set up a scheduled task. I would complain to the plugin author that they should be using the built-in WP-Cron system instead of asking users to manually set up a cron task on their server and not providing instructions for users who don’t use cPanel. Nine out of ten plugins do it like this.

I’m not sure how you would set that up using WP Crontrol because I suspect that the sync-from-zoho.php script will try to load WordPress, which means you can’t just add a cron event with WP Crontrol and then load that script as it’ll cause a fatal error.

Sorry but I would go back to the plugin author and ask for proper support setting this up using WordPress native functionality.

Thank you for your quick and honest reply.
I will go back to the developer – but suspect the outcome of this will be the need to move to a cpanel host. Such a pain…
