On most of the Advanced Ads screens in WP Admin (so, overview, settings just to name a few), AdBlock Plus prevents those screens from displaying properly. The overview screen doesn’t display at all, and the settings don’t display properly or don’t operate properly.

For example, in order to connect to Google AdSense, I needed to whitelist my website. I keep my website off the ABP whitelist by default so I don’t inadvertently trip the ads if I need to be logged out so I can test a change.

I just installed the plugin a couple hours ago, so I’m definitely running the latest version, and I’m on WordPress 5.9. I’m just curious if this is bug or feature, and if it’s a feature, what the logic is behind it.

    Hi quanin,

    thanks for reaching out.

AdBlock Plus and other ad blocking tools filtering the content of the websites you are browsing, looking for ad domains but also for strings known to be connected to ad services.

The term “advanced ads” is part of these lists, but obviously also used on pages connected to this plugin.

Please disable your AdBlocker to prevent problems with your ad setup.

I also recommend this resource about how to deal with ad blockers in the frontend.

If you have a further question about the Advanced Ads plugin, please feel free to consult the manual or open up a new thread.

    Best regards,
    Henning
