    Just to keep this thread updated, stevespeirs and I have communicated via e-mail and determined that there may be an issue with jQuery and stevespeir’s WordPress theme, which is preventing WPBookList from functioning correctly.

    Update: Stevespeirs determined that the issue was a conflict with a caching plugin on his website, and not necessarily anything directly related with WPBookList. Closing thread as resolved.
