Add a button that triggers a popup code

I want a button that says “sign up” and when pressed it will trigger a popup i built using Sygnoos popup pro builder. The code I currently use for the button is //// <div class=”signup float_div”>

and i want the popup with the short code [sg_popup id=1] to open when clicked, but i tried inserting the shortcode in several spots and had no luck. My site is stellafoxx.com and the button is on the homepage.
