Add a complusory field in the submission form

you can try to add event attribute then hook into the em_event_get_post and em_event_validate filters, which passes $result and $EM_Event.

I will try that. Before your answer I changed directly some data in file classes/em-location.php to pass the location_region and location_state compulsory.

You should try to use our hooks and filters. E.g. in your case you’d want to check the em_location_validate filter
