Add a header image in the background behind the site title

the site is https://www.raffles.co.id

at the moment I have pasted a line of code

<img src=”https://www.raffles.co.id/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Header.jpg&#8221; width=”1200px” height=”280px”>

in the header.php underneath

<header id=”masthead” class=”site-header” role=”banner”>
<div class=”site-header-main”>
<div class=”site-branding”>

The problem is that this pushes the title and menu out of place.

added the following code to to stylesheet.css

header#masthead {
background-image: url(“https://www.raffles.co.id/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/header.jpg&#8221;);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}

Thanks so much for this, your RIS site looks great!

It’s something I’m trying to do myself for one of my sites, to make a new membership site look like the main website – For me, though, it’s still pushing the Title and menu down below the image instead of inserting it behind.

Did you do anything else apart from the above? For example, I had to move the #masthead to a new line to avoid duplicating the image…
