Add a Message Upon Redirect?

When I set a post/page to members only and a non-member tries to visit that page they are automatically redirected to the page I specify with no message so it seems to them that the site or link is broken.

Is there a way to add a message either above the redirected page’s content or an alert to the top of the site that says something like “You must be logged in to view this content, please login below”?
