    Dear support team

It’s a while since I am looking for the best POS software for Woocoomerce in the market. I found out that yours might be the best one. But there is an important malfunction which I faced with:
I need to add a product to the cart by scan the barcode immediately.
On the other hand, in the “search by barcode” mode, when typing barcode and press ENTER (which is what my USB laser barcode reader does in every single read) the product have to added to cart automatically, But What is actually happen in your software is just ‘a simple search in product barcodes’. We have to add it to the card by clicking on the filtered list manually.
I would appreciate it if you help me to understand is it my fault or this feature doesn’t exist in your software.

    Best
    Aria

    Aria,

Thank you for reaching out and providing your feature request to us on how to make the Barcode functionality even better for the checkout process on the POS.

Good news! We have been working on this improvement for the POS. For the new feature, if it finds an exact match for the barcode, the product will automatically be added to the cart. The feature is almost ready to be released, we hope to have it included in the next version. Keep the POS updated with new releases and this feature should be available soon.

We will also keep this support post open, once the feature is released, we will update the post here for you to check the update.

Thank you VERY much for the feature request. We are always working to improve the POS for you.

Good news. This feature request is now available in the new 2.0+ release of the POS. Feel free to upgrade and try it out.

I am attempting to get this to work and have checked the options for both Barcode scan autoamtically adds item to cart and enable repeat bar code scan functionality. However it isnt working.

If i try a search by bar code the reader works and inputs, so I know there isnt a connectivity issue.

Is there something I am missing??

The “Barcode scan automatically adds item to cart” functionality was just added as a new feature in the last releases of the plugin. We are still working to bring more barcode device support to this feature.

To help us, can you let us know which Barcode scanner you are using, OS Platform and Browser. This will allow us to perform reproduction QA and optimize around the hardware and software combinations.

In our upcoming release, we hope to have more support for this new feature and should have more compatibility combinations soon.

Same issue here….not adding to cart. We are using CR-1000 barcode reader. The Barcode search works…pulls up the product, but we have to manually add the product to the cart. I have both barcode checkboxes set in the POS Station settings.

Can you please submit to us a POS support report. It’s easy.

Launch a POS Station. Click Menu, upper left. Scroll to Support.

Under the support page, make sure the option “Send POS system report” is selected and include your active email address for follow-up of the ticket status.

Plus also include a link to the barcode reader you are using “Cromad k210”.

We will review the POS support report and Barcode reader technical specifications to understand if we can provide support and follow-up with you on support for this Barcode reader.
