That looks like a conflict or a bug. There’s already supposed to be a bit of whitespace there. Are you using a custom admin theme or anything else that changes the appearance of admin pages?

Sadly enough, I don’t have something like that :/

The buttons in the screenshot also don’t look like the default buttons in WordPress 5.7.2: the borders are slightly different. If it’s not a custom admin theme, could it be an old version of WordPress?

I’m running 5.7.2… And I think it might be a plugin conflict then since maybe something is changing my CSS?

It is probably related to CSS in some way. The simplest way to check for conflicts might be to temporarily deactivate other plugins and see if that fixes the problem.

Alternatively, if you’re familiar with your browser’s developer tools, you could try looking at what styles are applied to the buttons and the tabs – do any of those styles come from .css files that are part of another plugin or theme?

I’ll check that out and will keep ya posted. Currently a bit busy with other stuff for the site and for the end of the school year.
