    Hi Mike,

I’ve encountered a problem when passing arguments to the shortcode of [jobs]. The job alert button is not showing after I’ve added several arguments, such as job categories, job types, to the shortcode. It is running well if the arguments are not added. What is the possible cause of this? Thanks a lot.

    Cheers,
    Wei

The alert button should show whenever the bar appears showing the current search, e.g. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/i0ekfroxxclmr2x/2014-05-20%20at%2017.59.png Do you have the bar?

    Thanks for quick reply, Mike.

The scenario is that I’ve created another search box on home page. The form will pass post search values to [jobs] page. Then this page will reflect the filtering after initialization. Yes, the bar is shown, “Reset” link is there, but the job alert button is missing.

And the user is logged in. It is very weird.

And you’ve defined the correct alerts page slug in the settings?

I’ve tested by placing ?search_keywords=test in the url of the page and going there. Alerts button displayed fine.

    Yes, it was correctly setup.

I find the reason why it was not displayed. Specifically, my home page is using http while [jobs] page is using https. When submitting form from http, for some reasons [jobs] page is not encrypted. Namely, it is using http protocol. Since I used https plugin, it identified me as not logged in user. I think that’s why the alert button was not shown. Now I enforce home page to use ssl. Problem is solved. Thanks, Mike.
