Add background image to individual event

What exact css have you tried?

( By the way – for CSS type questions there are several WordPress Facebook Groups where people jump in and are very helpful with CSS – forum rules would not allow me to post a link but )

I’m very familiar with styling with CSS. I just need to know what to target with the Quick Event plugin.

I tried:

#post-id-1397 { background-image: url(‘https://www.scsrc.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/beach_header5_1128x158.jpg’);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: top center;
}

and

.post-id-1397 { background-image: url(‘https://www.scsrc.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/beach_header5_1128x158.jpg’);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: top center;
}

A quick inspection of your page shows the correct selector is .postid-1397

Thank you! That got me on the right track. I was putting a – in between post and id as is required for pages. Unfortunately, instead of just the post (event) using just .postid put the background image on the entire page instead of the event content area.

The correct format turned out to be

.postid-1397 .inside-article { background-image: url(‘https://www.scsrc.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/beach_header5_1128x158.jpg’);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: top center;
}
