• I’m using this plugin because it works with CloudFlare’s rocketloader to stick some ads. The Space between top of page and sticky element: (optional) option is great for making sure it doesn’t overlap on my menu. I was hoping you could add a Space between bottom of page and sticky element: (optional) so that we can tell the element when to freeze. Example use case is on my page htpcguides.com

I would also like to see a feature where multiple elements can be stickied in comma separated format.

    Do you accept donations?

  • Hi! Thanks for trying my plugin, much appreciated ??

I’m not really sure I understand your issue regarding the bottom margin. I see an ad on your page but it’s so low down, that I don’t really see how/where/when you would want that to be sticky. I mean, I think I understand what you’re suggesting, I’m just not entirely sure about the purpose or use case. Please explain a little further?

Having multiple elements stick is not a feature in the current version of the plugin, but I’m definitely looking into how to make it work for a future version.

(Also, yes! Donations are accepted here.)

If the Window is a different size and you keep scrolling, the ads cover the footer widgets. Screenshot

OK I see what you mean now.

What I think you’re after (or what would be better in this situation) would be a method to determine which element would push the sticky element back up.

So in this case, the footer should never be overlapped by the sticky ad, so when the footer hits a specific position on the page, the sticky ad should move up a little.

This is actually planned for the next version, as there have been a few requests about this. It’s a little tricky though, as it needs to work for all screen sizes…so I can’t really say when I can have this ready. I’m gonna start working on it soon so hopefully I can have it ready in the next few weeks.

Thanks very much for the donation. Much, much appreciated! ??

@blindpet — I updated the plugin but it’s not for public release yet (still need a bit of testing to do). If you have some time, you could download it and test it, and see if the new functionality works the way you want to.

Basically, there is an extra entry in the settings screen where you can enter the ID or class of an element that should push the sticky element back up.

You can download this new version from here: https://github.com/senff/Sticky-Menu-or-Anything-On-Scroll-WP/archive/master.zip
