Add buttons to frontend text editor

I hope can get some help with this problem.

I’m currently making a new website where users/subscribers can have their own profile page.

But the text editor where they can fill out their profile description just have four buttons, bold, italic, undo and redo.

Can I add more buttons to this editor? Smileys maybe?
