• I’m getting a lot of emails from customers asking me to calculate shipping for them.

Obviously they are afraid to click the buy button, and never reach the next page where the shipping gets calculated.

So I want to include a “calculate shipping” button on the product page.

Does anyone know of a plugin I can do this with? I’m happy to pay / donate to get one that works.

I found this one, but it doesn’t work with table rate shipping: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woocommerce-calculate-shipping-button/

  • Hello

WooCommerce offer an excellent extension for calculate shipping cost. You can check in the next link: https://www.woothemes.com/products/table-rate-shipping-2/

    Greetings.

Thanks for the link, but this is not what I need.

I already have table rate shipping setup with another plugin.

What I need is to put a “Calculate Shipping” button on the product information page, so customers can input their postcode and get shipping costs before they click the buy button.

I need something like the plugin I linked too, but one that works with table rate shipping as it is currently not compatible.

With the table rate shipping module you can set up every shipping cost with the postcode of your customers.

Yes I know, I have already done that.

I don’t need to setup shipping rates. I already have shipping rates setup with a table rate shipping plugin. Loading up my shipping costs are not the problem.

I want to provide a way for customers to calculate their shipping costs from the PRODUCT PAGE. They click a “calculate shipping button” on the product page, input their postcode, and they will be told what they will be charged for shipping that particular product.

Please follow the link in my original post – I need a plugin similar to that.

It should operate in the same way the “Calculate Shipping” works on the Cart page.

If you want to provide the shipping cost to your customers, before you need to set up their postal code and other things related with the product. All of this you can do it with the table rate shipping.

I don’t know how else to say it. I don’t need that table rate shipping plugin. I already have table rate shipping setup with another similar plugin.

What I need is a “calculate shipping” button on the product page that draws shipping costs from the table rate shipping plugin (that I already have setup) and displays it on the product page for the customer.

Thanks for your help, but please don’t suggest that plugin again. It’s making this thread too long for others to read that may be able to provide a real solution.

ebay, who should know what they’re doing in this respect, don’t calculate the total cost including shipping for the user until after they click buy. Instead the user gets a link to the seller’s policy of how the shipping cost will be calculated. This may be in a table form for various locations and quantites and this gives the user sufficient idea about what the shipping cost will be, perhaps not to the nearest cent. I think this method is fairly common on ecommerce sites. The shipping policy often shares a page with terms and conditions.

If you can’t find a plugin, the alternative might be a lot of custom code.

Exactly lorro, that is what i want to say.
But bennygill if you want to calculate shipping cost you can use plugins like these: https://www.woothemes.com/products/fedex-shipping-module/
That plugins really calculates the shipping cost.

Thanks for the suggestion lorro, it might be the only option for now.
