Add Cancel button to default comment form

What do I need to put in functions.php in order to display the link to cancel a comment? Right now, all that shows on my comment form is the Submit button, with no option to cancel. I can see the cancel_comment_reply_link and get_cancel_comment_reply_link functions, but am not sure how to implement them.
