    Hi,

I’m having trouble finding the confirmation box that activates Captcha. I followed the instructions of the following link but, even if I have the latest version of the plugin, I don’t see the option anywhere.

    Thanks for your time

  • I disabled the Plugin v3.5.18. So it does not need anything, it’s just harmful.

    Hi all,

In Email Subscribers Free we have taken care of the majority of security issues.
But still, there could be a few ways that surpass our security measures.
To combat that, you could try out Email Subscribers Premium which had the CAPTCHA feature.
    It helps achieve 100% security.
    Hope this helps you.

    Hi,

yes PRO is the answer, but for non-commercial use are prices too high.

And considering captcha as a PRO function, I think this will be the reason, why many users will disable your plugin.

    Sorry to say that.

I agree with michaljuranek. The option for casual / non-commercial use IS the free version, but it is useless if it cannot prevent the onslaught of automated bogus subscriber emails.

Someone else mentioned in a review that they found MailPoet to be better. I installed that yesterday as a replacement for ES and he was right – MUCH better and has recaptcha in the free version.

    Good luck to you, Icegram.

    Installed MailPoet. Excellent.
It has Recaptcha in the Free Version.
Canceled Email Subscribers & Newsletters ..

I’m getting 30 or 40 spam registrations per day from Russia. They of course don’t get confirmed but they are filling up my database, hard to pick through and safely delete and causing unnecessary load on my server. the ONLY way we can stop this is with reCapchka and the price of Pro is just too very high for that one feature. We can get mailchimp for wordpress with recapchka for free and the premium version is only $59. Mailchimp is also compatible with more plugins. I’ve not moved over before this because of the hassle of the conversion but the hassle of the spam registrations from Russia is making it look easier to change.
We need this fixed quickly or I’m simply unable to stay with your plugin.
