  • Hi dodd,

Unfortunately UPCP doesn’t currently have that functionality, but we’ve noted it as a feature request and will discuss the viability of implementing it in a future update.

    Hi @doddscarpet144,

Just wanted to let you know that images now have a title/description overlay in lightbox gallery mode ??

Thank you, I also was glad to read that note. Unfortunately it doesn’t work for the additional images on our site (still under construction and pw-protected), allthough I just updated the plugin.

Did you really change the feature for the additional images?

    Regards, Ruth

It did work for me without a glitch. I had already put information in the image description and title previously and it showed up in lightbox immediately.

Thank you so much for that quick fix. I can stop writing captions on the images now. ??

You might want to add the titles/descriptions to the Main image as well since the main image scrolls in lightbox with the additional images. Thanks.

    Hi Ruth (@mwhandel),

The change should be showing in all images that appear in the lightbox gallery.

I just want to make sure: when you wrote in text for your images in the Media Library, did you write the text in the “Title” and “Caption” sections or another box (e.g. Description..etc)?

If you wrote your text in Title/Caption and text still isn’t appearing, I’d suggest deactivating all non-UPCP plugins, then reactivating them one by one to see if maybe there’s a conflict.

    Hi @doddscarpet144,

Would it be possible to send us a link to the page where the main image isn’t showing text for you?

Good to hear, that it should work. I had allready added titles to all my images, but they are still displayed only for the main image. Deactivating all plugins and reloading the page did’t change anything. I deleted some additional images und reloaded them with no change. The browser shows an empty grey field in the lightbox an the code shows empty lines for title and description.

I also deleted all custom css from my catalog with no change.

Any idea what to try next?

    Thanks in advance
    Ruth

    Hi Ruth,

Can you send us the Title, Caption, ALT Text and/or Description text you’ve entered for one of your images (preferably for one of the ones that’s experiencing the ’empty grey field’ issue)?

    Title: Deko-Tier aus Terrakotta, Henne
Caption: Die Henne aus Terrakotta mit Metallfü?en steht stabil auch auf unebenen Fl?chen.
    Alt: Deko-Tier aus Terrakotta, Henne
    Description: <empty>

I allready changed the text to delete German characters and commas.

At this point, we’d need to see the images that aren’t working. Just the info isn’t enough to grasp what might be going on. Could you provide us with a link to your catalog? If it’s password protected, then you can send it to us by email at [email protected].

Now, that our site is online, it’s much easier to talk about the behaviour.

    See our catalogue at
    https://mw-handel.de/sortiment/produkte/

For all products only the main image shows the title from the media library, all additional images don’t show any text, allthough it is in the media library.

    Regards
    Ruth
