Add Captions or Description to Additional Product images

Hi Ruth,

Which version of the catalog are you using? This was resolved a couple of months ago, and testing it again today, it’s still working on our development server.

I’m using the latest version.

Your’re right, we discussed it some time ago, when our page wasn’t online but I couldn’t fix it. I’m wondering, what might hide the titles of the additional images allthough they are in the library. It’s strange, but perhaps anyone has an idea.

Hi Ruth,

We were clicking around your site just not and discovered that there are actually two lightboxes being generated. Having both active at the same time is very likely to cause conflicts.

The second lightbox is a plugin called “Simple Lightbox”, so I was going to ask if you could try deactivating it and let us know if the missing image captions start showing or not.

thank your for that idea. In a first try I installed Ultimate Lightbox with no change on the additional images. Unfortunately your lightbox didn’t work with all other images, so I used simple lightbox. Just deactivated it with no change.

Now my new idea is to work with ultimate lightbox again looking for the reason why it doesn’t show my images.

I’ll report my experiences.

Now, Ultimate Lightbox is active: No captions on the additional images and no lightboxeffect with images in articles.

I deleted the first image and inserted it again making sure, that the “Lightbox?” Checkbox is marked. The image opens in the same tab, if link to media-file is checked, or it doesn’t open if no link is checked.

The basic settings for ultimate lightbox have the first three options (images, galleries, videos) checked.

These questions that are specific to the Ultimate Lightbox might be better posed in the Ultimate Lightbox forum. We just visited your site and can see that you currently have the other lightbox active. If you have no other lightbox active, and you’re still having trouble, then your best bet would be to make use of the “Images with the Class” or “Images with the Following CSS Selectors” settings. Sometimes the “All Images” setting doesn’t always capture all the images, because it may be overwritten by some JS from another plugin or the theme. Specifying an exact selector will help ensure the Ultimate Lightbox opens for the images you want.
